Every season, I like to take the time to think about what that season brings us; the different types of beauty, activities, experiences, etc. It’s hard to believe because I am such a creative person, but years ago, I only used to like the Summer.

I remember the day I decided to give all of the seasons a chance. I came to the realization that if I only loved Summer and no other season, then I was putting a dark cloud over 3/4 of the year. I started journaling about each season and everything that I could think of that made me inspired, creative, happy, etc.  I realized that I didn’t just only love Summer, I actually DID love something about every season. I loved the Spring for its time of growth, the Summer for its wildness, the Fall for its creativity and transformation, and the Winter for its stillness and reflection. I am so glad that I came to my senses back then, for I know that as I have appreciated each season more and more, my inspiration and creativity has blossomed in ways I could never have imagined.

Something that I love to do when a new season approaches, is welcome it with a creative ritual of sorts, and this really depends on what I feel like doing at the time. Some of the things that I have done in the past to make my first days of Fall more magical, might be able to inspire you to do something similar. So here they are… somethings to make your Autumn Equinox even more magical.

Hang a festive wreath on your front door. I personally have to do this for every season, for it transforms the welcoming vibes of your home to pair with the season.

Go on a Fall walk. Yes, people walk every day but designating a special walk for admiring the natural beauty is wonderful.

Journal about your seasonal intentions. Getting clear on what you want to attract every season is so important. The fall is especially important, for it covers the Celtic new year and the more creative time for cozying up and manifesting.

Do some kind of Fall craft. I love making art and doing crafts. It not only is fun but allows you to truly put intention into something beautiful that you can give away or keep for yourself.

Collect leaves. I always collect different flowers and leaves from special dates and press them in a 365 days book. It is filled with flowers from happy days, sad days, celebrations, and special times that I want to remember.

Meditate on the season. Yoga or meditation may already be a part of your daily practice, but the idea of practicing mindfulness, especially around a specific time such as the Autumn Equinox, can really provide you with clarity and perspective for the season ahead.

Create a gratitude list. A gratitude list is important to create any day let alone every season, but just like I did, get clear on why you are grateful in your life. What do you love about your life right now, the people in it, the opportunities, the creations, the season, etc. Most importantly, take the time to write down what you appreciate about the present moment.

Change up the decor. Some of you may already know this, but I change up my decor every season. I have seasonal art that gets changed, as well as pillows, candles, decorations, etc. Each season, as I transform my home, it allows me to fall in love with it all over again and set the vibe for the new season ahead.

Clear/ sage your environment. Doing a seasonal sage or clearing with Palo Santo wood, or Sage, neutralizes any bad vibes that have accumulated over the past few months and gives your space a nice fresh start. It is important to set intentions for your home when doing this. Don’t forget, you can also sage your office or vehicle too!

Have a quiet Fall celebration. Maybe a bonfire, maybe a nice harvest style dinner, whatever you choose to do, invite some family and friends together to welcome in the new season. I am thinking hot cocoa, hot apple cider, popcorn, candy apples…

Connect with nature in a way that feels good to you. Whether it’s a walk in the forest, cleaning up your yard, or dancing naked under the full moon, designate time in where you can spend time with Mother Nature.

I hope that you will feel inspired by one or a few of these fun Fall ideas. Have fun creating your own type of seasonal ritual to add more magic into your life and get excited about each new season.
